And That's a Wrap for Tomato Man
This looks to me like a fine place to put a bow on this project. Since last time, we've enhanced the enemy interaction a bit, and added sounds and music. Specifically, regarding the enemies, they now take two hits to be defeated1, and the mushroom now hides after being hit. Also, most of the things that can happen in the game have their respective sound play when they happen, so we're looking, and even sounding, a lot more like a game now.
With this last achievement, I believe we're now easily in tutorial-size territory, which was the original goal all along. We may not have implemented everything in our Now Next Never2, but I think we still did quite good. This plays like a game, has acceptable handling, and even has a closed loop. There's also a couple glaring bugs (don't attack too much...), which honestly, would be weird if there wasn't.
So this was fun; it was a thing. I'm pretty sure I'm better at this Godot stuff than before, thankfully. Hopefully, I'll find something else to do now, and further hopefully, it'll be even remotely blog-worthy. There are a few possibilities in my head at the moment, so some good ol' fashioned analysis paralysis is in my near future. I'll make working through that my next priority, so while I do that - until next time!
